So many Great Blessing!
Today was filled with many wonderful moments. I am going to just list a few of the things we experienced.
New shoes for all our students!!!! Thank you so much Rebecca…the students kept saying, “They looked Smart!” Which for them means they look great! We told your story to all the teachers and they were so impressed and thankful!
Susan and Ed did a puppet show for a class. The “Outsiders” or young children who hang around the school really loved the puppets. They enjoyed playing with Ed and the puppets.
Carroll and Helen teaching a song to the Standard 3. They enjoyed Carroll’s singing as much as we all do (ha-ha)!
Ray and his new friends, James and David built our first set of bookshelves for the library. Sawing by hand wore several of them out. Ray had special helpers when he was alone and needed to cut a board. John enjoyed telling Ray what to do!
Hip Hop lessons with Anni and Ed. The students have been asking about our dances and asking for hip-hop. Anni taught them a dance and the Secondary girls really enjoyed the dance. They enjoyed Ed’s show.
Patrick modeled part of the newly made costume for the dance Axi is teaching. They are going to be great! Patrick is amazing in that he is able to be a part of all the ins and outs of the school.
Clare and Anni played soccer and volleyball for the break. They thought it was going to only be a short time, but it turned out to be an hour.
Toni set up the tennis net and showed some students how to play. It was great and a new sport in the valley. I have a feeling she will have more lessons to teach.
Megan, Toni and I read a book to several classes and they loved it. Clare and Anni were a big help in teaching the moves.
Axi worked on the dance most of the day. It is really going well and the dancers are often seen practicing in the school yard!
Joy and Tyler had a great day getting to know a man and woman who live in the Valley. They went shopping, toured the valley, went into the community garden and much more. I think it was a great experience for all involved.
Betsy and Pati visited several classrooms and also continued with the Romeo & Juliet! They are having so much fun.
These are just a few of the things that come to mind. I know each of us has our own moments!
Tomorrow is Field Day!

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY YOU HAD. I ran out of breath just reading about all that you are doing. It sounds GREAT and I know the children are loving it. I am happy that there were enough shoes for everyone. The little fellow with the red shoes looks great. What a blessing you have made to these children's lives, Rebecca.
Wish we were there with you and know you have a WONDERFUL TEAM this year with so many exciting activities.
Sarah made it home (Poland) safely from Finland. Give our love to Pamela and to Patrick and the family. Praying for you all.
Love and Blessings,
The Greenes in NC
Wayne and Carroll: Would you please share with Toni how much I have enjoyed her Blog as well as Megan's. I have not been able to respond on Toni's but I have loved so much looking at her pictures and reading of her experiences. Sure wish we could have gone this year with this group. They sound great! Lydia was also mentioning how exciting it is that there are other "college" age and younger folks on this trip. Our group was good....but this group sounds GREAT AND WHAT A BLESSING FOR YOU ALL.

Great to read your comment, Clare.
I know I would have been moved by that special welcome as well. We're really glad you're enjoying the kids and that they're touching your heart. You're all much in our prayers.

Hello to all. The Connellys just arrived back home today from the lake and all was wonderful!!!!!! We had a very special surprise that I will tell you about later. I was so sorry to hear of Gilberts passing and have thought so much of Patrick and Pamela-with your wonderful visit and all that is going on. I am so "with you" there. The sights, sounds, smells, traffic, etc. Make sure you hug my little Patrick for me and take pictures of him please. Love and blessings to all. Judie.
